Everyday life - Week 8

A little late but here's a peak at last week. :)

This is the way I trick myself into eating more brown rice: leave the measuring cup in the brown rice bin!

$2.99 shrimp sale means shrimpies for lunch no matter what I'm making!

What an average afternoon looks like when I'm getting ready to nap before work.
It's so hard sleeping when the sun is out and the day is so beautiful.

Short breaks at work to meal plan, journal, read and feast on edamame.

Sack lunches for my husband and sister. I never forget to pack some dessert! :)

My first time using my meat thermometer! So awesome!

Our mexican BBQ Chicken dinner night. It was "mexican" because I added some salsa to the BBQ marinade and served it with some quesadillas, mexican-style rice and LOTS of cilantro. I love Cilantro!

My favorite thing to do before work. Christian girls apparently love "coffee and the Word" and my friend Tracy swears that Starbucks is where nearly all ministry happens. I agree! I love my daily dose of coffee and the Word!

The day we ordered in-and-out at work. It was AWESOME.

Eugene went hiking last week with his friend Alex and I woke up from my post-night shift nap to this all over the floor.

Possibly the most tasty cereal ever created. all the more tasty in a heart-shaped bowl. :)

Eugene's been falling asleep on me these days which means alone time pinning things on Pinterest for me.

My own rendition of a breakfast huevos rancheros.

Recipe soon!

First time at Bruxies.

Give thanks: time alone to read, dodging the flu with 10+ hours of sleep, new recipes, pho on a rainy day, the great blessing we have in our families

Everyday life - Week 7

"Everyday Life" is a blog post inspired by one of my favorite bloggers shutterbug. It's just a post of random pictures from the week-- showing snapshots of everyday life. Nothing I love more than a photograph of the simple pleasures of life. Hopefully I can keep this up!

Trying to eat healthier at work.... eating at 4am in the morning is not easy on your stomach.

One of the many secrets I've learned since I've gotten married. I call this "get rid of the smelly trash can smell by hanging an air freshener on the inside of the bin" secret. Pure genius, I tell you!

Before you applaud me for my healthy eating-- this was the night after I ate a cheeseburger at 3 in the morning the night before. This is one thing I don't like about night shifts.. ugh... darn you late night red-meat cravings!

Eugene bought me a 7-day medicine container so that I remember to take all my vitamins everyday.. hahaha!! He got me the giganto one because that was the only pink one they had. Such a cute husband I have.. :)

We're trying to eat healthier every day.. so you know what that means! Color in our bowl to make fruit-eating more fun!

Dessert waffles.. for breakfast! Since waffles are a breakfast food, of course!

Meal planning for the week and for our Valentines Day party! :)

Valentines day 2012. Sushi lunch, Costco runs and a 2-hour midday nap. No better way to spend the day celebrating with the love of my life! The sushi waitress gave us 3 different balloons to take pictures with.

And the sushi chef made me a foil rose. So romantic!

I love flowers but I love hand-written cards more. :) I have the sweetest husband ever!

Clean out yo fridge day. :) Leftovers for lunch.... it worked! Our fridge is empty!

Went to work officially as a Tseng. :)

Dessert table for Silas' first birthday bash. I love home-made goods...

Another exciting week ahead. :)
Praising God for new mercies every day, countless evidences of grace in my life to testify of how great and gracious my God is! Excited to live a new week celebrating Christ and the hope I have in this life because of Him!

"Oh the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unserachable are his judgements and how inscrutable his ways!

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen."

Romans 11:33,36

Give thanks: early morning accountability coffee sessions with katherine, Eugene, my planner, time to clean the kitchen, grocery shopping, seeing familiar faces in familiar places, Your steadfast love - because it's better than life (psalm 63:3)
